The program aims to inspire people to try snow sports, discover their passion for it, and continue to ride, race, compete, and learn, resulting in lifelong participants in sports and growing our industry.
We are committed to supporting young people in outdoor recreation and athletics and encouraging them to explore careers in this field. Whether they choose to work with us or in related industries, we are devoted to empowering the next generation in the ski industry. No matter where these individuals go, they will have our support, encouragement, and something to be proud of. Our goal is to attract and retain outdoor enthusiasts to ensure the sport's continuity and prosperity, especially as the current generation transitions into retirement.
For many years, we've hosted students from Selkirk's Ski Resort Operations and Management program annually to teach them about the industry and what it means to be a supplier.
One of our key priorities is to support the Next Generation of outdoor enthusiasts and those who wish to build careers in this industry. As a second-generation business ourselves, we understand the significance of assisting, mentoring, and guiding the Next Generation, not just for the growth and success of our industry but because we experience it, too!
As we strive to support our industry, the Next Generation plays a pivotal role, and so we have taken several initiatives to support that vision. Some examples, in addition to our academic and athletic awards, include hosting a "Bring Your Child to Work Day," offering mentorship, annual visits from Selkirk College's SROAMies, speaking on boards and committees, providing assistance to various organizations, and even trying to develop products to make skiing more fun. Furthermore, as a women-led company, we support women who aspire to join a traditionally male-dominated industry. Reach out to us anytime via phone or email.
The Next Generation: Academics aims to support the Next Generation in reaching their educational peak. To help with this, we offer an annual Academic Award, a bursary of up to $500 to one eligible applicant. This award is designed to reduce the financial burden of pursuing higher education.
